Eye liner is a cosmetic used to define the eyes. It is applied around the contours of the eye to create a variety of aesthetic illusions such as depth and lenght or to emphasize the eye color. Eyeliner was first used in Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia .
In the late 20th and early 21st century, heavy eyeliner has been associated with Gothic fashion. Here's a picture I found on the internet about how you could put eyeliner on your eyes and create amazing works of art :)
I hope this has been helpful for those of you looking for a new way to put eyeliner ! (I personally used the web looking thing for halloween this year and everyone wanted to know how I made it..I added some glitter and designed a little spider coming down from my eye :P)

yeah these are neat, the swirls gave me the idea to make vines. they go on perfect with liquid!

the spider web design is truly amazing.. i recently had a girl do a face painting on me with purple and black spiderwebs over my eyes and silver lining on them and everyone loved it.. im using this design for halloween this year -kelsi

for whitby goth weekend i did the spider design in dark red liquid liner with little blood drips on the end, even got ppl wanting a picture of it ^^ they are actually really easy to do, i got sick of seeing tacky goth make up, thats why i drew these in hopes of inspiring =)
